Breakthrough Energy

At Breakthrough Energy, I successfully planned the 2024 holiday dinner, drawing on my extensive experience in organizing similar events. The process began with thorough research and outreach to potential higher-end restaurants capable of accommodating around 35 attendees. After compiling a list of suitable options, I consulted with the Director of Finance to secure budget approval and coordinated with the legal team to finalize the contract. Additionally, I took on the responsibility of coordinating the evening's games and selecting prizes, ensuring a festive and engaging atmosphere for all participants.

Starry

At Starry, I coordinated several events, including summer outings and holiday parties. For Halloween, for example, I coordinated an office costume party that allowed the team to showcase their creativity and enthusiasm while taking into account the limitations due to the pandemic. One standout costume was worn by a former coworker, who dressed up as a Starry radio.

One of my favorite events was the market’s first winter holiday party in the new office. My musical coworkers formed a band called the Ugly Sweaters, a play on words alluding to perspiration and holiday cheer, and brought in instruments to entertain everyone during the celebration. The atmosphere was lively and indicative of the culture we had built. Additionally, we set up a karaoke machine for those who wanted to showcase their own musical talents, enhancing the festive spirit among colleagues.
